COLOR RUN 2017

On May 20th, Windber Recreational Park was the site of a full day of fun!

Ben Smith gave a speech to kick off the event with an added color toss celebration to start. He spoke of the importance for detection and prevention of cancer to help save lives. That raising awareness and taking early action can help improve the quality of life for families in our community…”All colors matter.”

We were honored to have Andrea Sesack as our special guest! She is an amazing person with a contagious smile and shining personality. She is easily admired and sets an example for others by her positive attitude even in her courageous battle against ovarian cancer.

The Ann Harris Smith Foundation and Second Chance Fundraising partnered together for the ColorRUN in the Park, cornhole tournament, and entertainment – all with a very important purpose…raising awareness in our local community about ovarian cancer and how taking early action to detect and prevent can change the effects this disease has upon our mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, wives and friends.

The family-friendly ColorRUN was an event open to everyone of every age. Throughout the course participants experienced color splash zones where they were doused in colored cornstarch powder.
